Fabio established Abraxas Capital Management in 2002 and today he runs the crypto market neutral strategy and is responsible for business development. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for Abraxas Global Macro strategy and part of the firm Investment Committee. Before founding Abraxas, Fabio was Head of Strategic Proprietary Trading at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DRKW) in London for four years, prior to which he spent another four years trading options and derivatives at UBS and Merril Lynch swap and derivatives desk in London. Fabio graduated summa cum laude in Economics at Bocconi University, Milan in 1994.
Stefano is a member of the Investment Committee for Abraxas Global Macro strategy, responsible for equity analysis and for risk control and monitoring across Abraxas. He joined Abraxas in 2005 from Commerzbank in London, where he worked as Italian Head of European Equity Sales for three years. Previously he worked at Merrill Lynch in London for seven years, where, among various roles, was Head of the International Advisory Group, responsible for asset allocation.
Stefano holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Qualified Chartered Accountant. He graduated in Business Administration at Bocconi University, Milan in 1994.
Nick is a Director of Abraxas, a member of the Investment Committee for Abraxas Global Macro strategy and Head of Compliance.
Prior to joining Abraxas in 2005, Nick worked with and later took Fabio’s role as Head of Strategic Proprietary Trading at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DRKW) in London. Nick brings with him thirty-five years of experience in major markets, including being involved from the launch in the European Financial Futures derivatives markets. Nick is a Cambridge University economics graduate and was awarded his MA in 1983.
Ludovico joined Abraxas in 2009 and drove the effort to diversify its suite of funds. Now Ludovico is a Director of Abraxas and the portfolio manager for the Sustainable Investment Fund. He is a graduate in Business Administration from the Bocconi University in Milan. Since 1990 Ludovico achieved outstanding results for leading financial institutions both in London and New York. During his years in banking, Ludovico worked as a trader and structurer in the area of credit derivatives and structured products. In December 2004, he was cited by “The Economist” as the arranger of one of the best arbitrages of all times. He held a temporary pro-bono position as Development Advisor for the Goverment Outcome Lab (GO Lab) at the Oxford University.
Barbara joined Abraxas in 2013 where she oversees the company’s operations and is the Compliance Officer and MLRO for the company. After graduating with a high school diploma in accountancy Barbara joined Leasint, the leasing arm of Banca Intesa in Milan in 1990. During her time here Barbara managed payroll and HR and then moved to Strategic Marketing where she oversaw the development of the company website and online services. Barbara holds a diploma in Investment Compliance and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
